Days with a Yogee

Little away from city, in the heart of hilly area, the old Sawan Baba was relaxing on the wooden bench in the front-yard of his small hut. It was evening lighted by near-full moon. The front yard was polished soily-white with the cow-dung by his maidservant. The climate was cool in a total contrast to the hot summer noon during the day. Two of Baba’s disciples were squatting in front of him and the third, the youngest one, sitting a little away on the fence made out of wood, little lower than the height of the bench. His name was “Loku”. Sawan Baba suddenly looked at his disciple and started uttering the words, “ The rich and educated are destined to be extinct not as a race but in number, since they prefer to have less children. Those who prefer to have more children are either poor or uneducated or both”. These were the words form the Baba who himself was not married nor had any children and after uttering these words, Sawan Baba went in trance as usual. Total silence gripped the surrounding.

This was the usual sight in Baba’s hut. There would be silence. Baba and the disciples would be around in silent environment and Baba would suddenly say some thing, and again silence just as if nothing had happened about two minutes back.
